YouTube TV now has 4K Plus subscriptions

YouTube announced that YouTube TV users will be able to watch 4K content on the platform for the first time with a 4K Plus subscription, which provides access to high-quality content, video downloads, and unlimited streaming.

All you need is a 4K-capable TV or projector and an Internet connection capable of handling video of this size to start watching high-definition content.

YouTube says 4K Plus gives you access to big sporting events this year in 4K. With 4K Plus, users can also download and save content from their library to their phone or tablet so they can be viewed offline if you’re going to be away from home for long periods of time. With 4K Plus, subscribers will also get unlimited streams on their home Wi-Fi network, compared to the three simultaneous streams the basic YouTube TV package usually allows.

YouTube also says that it is adding 5.1 Dolby Audio support for all YouTube TV users. This feature has been one of the most requested and will be added soon.

4K Plus subscriptions will be available for an additional cost of $20 per month. New users can also take advantage of a monthly free trial and then pay $10 for the first 12 months.
