Zen 4 debut may not have been brought forward

From oliver jagger ,
According to the latest information from Twitter leaker Greymon55, which he claims to have learned directly from a packaging plant, AMD’s Zen 4 debut shouldn’t be pushed ahead. Ryzen 7000 CPUs with the Rafale code name probably won’t be available until Q4 2022 at the earliest.

So not exactly in July/August: as things stand at the moment, AMD processor enthusiasts will have to wait a bit longer until the Ryzen 7000, based on the Zen 4, launches. Wanted Twitter leaker Greymon55 still knew on February 11 that Zen 4 release pushed forward to July/August Now, almost a month later, he needs to refresh his knowledge. Because many of their sources seem to contradict each other, while one of them is said to have come from a packaging plant. This provides overloading of the Greymon55.

Zen 4 will probably debut in late 2022

As of now, the Zen 4 is said to have not gone into mass production, as can be seen from the factory, which ruled out an early launch of Rafale chips in July/August. According to Greymon55, production should have started around this time at the latest. So AMD’s Zen 4 debut in the fourth quarter, toward the end of the year, remains realistic.

An early release of the Ryzen 7000 CPUs also seems unlikely, as AMD probably wants to release AM4-based Zen 3 CPUs Ryzen 5 5500, Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 7 5700X this month in addition to the famous Ryzen 7 5800X3D. A later launch of the Zen 4 would thus create a more comfortable window of time.

AMD can expect cheaper prices for DDR5 RAM later after the Ryzen 7000 processor is launched. This problem was at the core of Intel’s release of Elder Lake CPUs, and it may be a few more quarters before memory prices improve. The Zen 4 also lacks DDR4 compatibility, which is why AMD’s reliance on DDR5 RAM prices can be particularly heavy in terms of value for money. A possible explanation of the whole thing can be expected at the upcoming Computex event in Taipei in late May.
