berlin rweCEO Markus Kreber accused the EU Commission of blocking entry to the hydrogen economy. Regulation that is too demanding and complex “completely shuts down the necessary ramp-up of the hydrogen economy,” Kreber said in an interview with Handelsblatt.

On the other hand, the RWE boss praised investment conditions in the United States, where the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) “created very attractive conditions for investment in climate protection”. Long-term stability and practicality are important.

The RWE boss has expressed skepticism about the federal government’s expansion targets for offshore wind power.
