The Opening Game – Turkey vs. Italy on June 11: Not only is it the opening game for the tournament, but it’s Turkey’s first appearance in a big tournament in over two decades. The only four Euro opening games they’ve ever played, they lost, and they haven’t been able to beat Italy in any of their last ten encounters.
Denmark vs. Finland on June 12: This historical game will see the Finland men’s team play its first major tournament in 110 years.
England vs. Scotland on June 18: If the history and politics between England and Scotland aren’t enough to get you psyched about seeing them face off in this tournament, the history behind the football teams should do it. England’s second game in the last Euro the country hosted was against Scotland in 1996. This tournament is also the first time that Scotland is making a Euro appearance since that day in history.

There were originally 12 host cities planned for the tournament, but Dublin and Bilbao dropped off the roster after refusing to guarantee fan attendance for the games. The four games scheduled to occur in Dublin will now be split between St. Petersburg and London, while Seville took over as the host city for Bilbao’s games.
