Before Friday evening, PG&E was directed by California Impartial System Operator (ISO) to initiates rotating outages during the state.
The Phase 3 Unexpected emergency declaration was called right after extraordinary warmth drove up electrical power desire throughout California, triggering the ISO to dip into its operating reserves for supply to protect demand from customers.
PG&E states thanks to the emergency it was not able to notify buyers in advance of the rotating energy outages, which impacted buyers in the pursuing counties: El Dorado, Marin, Napa, San Mateo and Sonoma.
