With tvOS 15.2, released earlier this week, Apple has also integrated new screensaver videos. Three videos from Scotland and six videos from Iceland are now available for retrieval on the provider’s servers.
If you want to see an overview of all the screensaver videos currently available for Apple TV, we recommend Blog Von Benjamin Mayo, The author, who works at the Apple website 9to5Mac, also offers the option to select and watch individual videos directly—the new sightseeing tour around the Scottish Isle of Skye is great, by the way.
Change Apple TV Screen Saver
Since the Apple TV itself decides which videos are recovered and made available for viewing, the new screensavers don’t necessarily appear on your device already. In any case, it is worth knowing that you can immediately activate the display of the screen saver as follows:
- Siri Remote (2nd generation): Press and hold the Back button to return to the Home screen, then press the Back button again.
- Siri Remote (1st generation): Press and hold the Menu button to return to the Home screen, then press the Menu button again.
To get more information about the screen saver or to switch between different aerial photos, you have the following options:
- Find out which location is shown: Tap the Clickpad (Siri Remote 2nd generation) or Touch Surface (Siri Remote 1st generation). On some screensavers, the location information changes with the field of view, highlighting certain points of interest.
- Go back or go to another location: Press left or right on the Clickpad Ring, or swipe left or right on the Clickpad (Siri Remote 2nd generation), or swipe left or right on the Touch Surface (Siri Remote 1st generation).
