When is the playoff drawing and how does it work?

The teams participating in the playoffs on November 26, 2021 at 5 pm will find out what their fate is: in Zurich, the six matches leading up to the 2022 World Cup will be decided.

For political reasons, some matches are not possible in the playoff path: however, given the lack of access to teams such as Azerbaijan, Gibraltar, Kosovo or Bosnia, no matches will take place in the play-offs.
