VR46 entered into a joint venture with «The Hundred Media Holding». It aims to provide a global platform for all Valentino Rossi fans and their riders from the VR46 Riders Academy or GP teams.

Valentino Rossi’s empire continues to grow: VR46 Riders Academy with its Moto2 and MotoGP racing team and merchandising company VR46 Racing Apparel, which will be complemented this year with VR equipment, specifically for mountain bike and motocross riders (Available from October 2022 ), now joined by «VR46 Metaverse».

VR46 thus enters the digital world of the metaverse and seeks to provide all motorsport enthusiasts with virtual experiences and unique content in the worlds of gaming and NFTs (“Non-Fungible Tokens”; i.e. non-exchangeable digital assets). Behind this is a joint venture with «The Hundred» Holding Italian Media.

The project has a multi-year timetable, but the first material should be available later this year. The stated goal is to create «Dottore», a global platform dedicated to the VR46 Racing Team and Academy. Fans can be virtually entertained, meet VR46 drivers, interact and even race against each other.

“Starting this massive project is an exciting undertaking that I have tackled with a structured approach in partnership with top tier players,” explained Valentino Rossi. “I am really excited to be able to reach fans around the world and bring the atmosphere and excitement of VR46 through new technologies. I believe this project is a hugely important step for the brand.”

Jean-Claude Ghinozzi, CEO of VR46 Metaverse and Partner at The Hundred, said: “I am really excited to be working on this project, which will see international icons like Valentino Rossi enter the Metaverse for the first time, re-starting this virtual world. For like him the world has also done in motorsport.”
