Liverpool fans paid tribute to a great supporter who has been described as an “old school icon”. “
Lenny Woods passed away recently and hundreds of Reds have been taking to social media to pay tribute to her since her demise.
A lot of people who knew Lenny going to matches or following the club for years talked about how much fun it was to get to know him.
LFC support group Spirit Shanf Shankly tweeted about Lenny on Monday morning, sparking outrage and messages of condolence to his family.
They said: “RIP Lenny Woods True #LFC Legend – Griefful sympathy to his family and friends and members of the committee and members of the Spirit Spirit.
“He was a regular on our distant coaches, entertaining everyone with his songs and imaginative stories – an old school icon – he would sadly get lost.”

Others talked about how they knew Lenny and what she said for them.
Terry Sylvester tweeted that he was sitting with Lenny at Hillsborough and would miss out.
He said: “It is with great sadness that I hear of the passing of my Paul and great LFC fan Lenny Woods.
“The RIP big man was sitting next to him at Hillsborough.”
Other fans have also tweeted Lenny’s favorite pictures and videos from the match.
A Turkish fan group tweeted: “Lenny Woods, a true old school icon and a favorite of the Cop Tribune, has passed away.
“It will be very missed on buses around and far from Anfield.”
Fellow Reds are also posting their tributes to their beloved fans on Twitter, which they fondly consider “one of the old school.”
The SSPPS Court said: “RIP. Lenny Woods, top red and an old school. We’re glad you saw us back on our perch. #YNWA ”.
@Bobby_Lupo also tweets about Lenny’s legendary status among fans: “I really remember the thrill of seeing her on the cop once. RIP kopite Lenny Woods ”.

Many fans remembered Lenny as part of a fanatical and dedicated group of supporters known as the ‘Wilcox Crew’, who died in 2009 with his great friend, Bobby Wilcox.
