On Wednesday, “Root Leven” lost only 1–0 to Norway, on Sunday they played against the Scottish national team at Josie Barthel Stadium and eventually lost again O:1.
Luxembourg could have taken the lead in the eighth minute, but the Scottish goalkeeper narrowly saved Vahid Selimovic’s shot. Scots took the lead in the 27th minute.
Soon after, near-goal scorer Selimovic caused a heated scene when he tried to stop Scott Dykes with the emergency brake. He got a red card.
Despite being outnumbered, “Root Leven” was able to keep the Scots under control until the final whistle. It stayed at 0:1. The FLF selection is now in place until 1 September in preparation for the first World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan.
Questions and answers about the comment function
“Why does it sometimes take so long for my comment to appear?”
Our readers leave heartfelt comments – there are hundreds of opinions on all kinds of topics every day. As the editorial department is responsible for all content on the website, contributions are viewed in advance. Sometimes it just takes some time.
“Why was my comment removed?”
The contribution may have been written in a foreign language. We only allow comments in the national languages Luxembourgish, German and French. Posts containing insults, slander or defamation will be removed immediately. Even comments that are virtually unreadable or written in capital letters due to lack of spelling will never see the light of day.
