Appeal of District Collector Rajeev Niwatkar to register the disabled in the voter list


Mumbai: Persons with Disabilities should enroll their names in the voter list and also include the names of their disabled colleagues in the voter list. Mumbai City Collector Rajiv Niwatkar said that necessary help will be given to facilitate the differently-abled voters on the day of polling.

‘World Disability Day’ was observed on 3rd December at District Disability Rehabilitation Center in Mumbai city district in collaboration with civil society organization and Maharashtra State Disability Finance and Development Corporation. On the occasion of World Disabled Day, a special camp was organized to enroll the names of disabled voters in the voter list.

On this occasion, District Collector Niwatkar distributed Jaipur legs and other necessary materials to the differently-abled.

Awareness campaign on voter registration was carried out keeping in mind the disabled voters with the help of 181-Mahim assembly constituency. Regarding the campaign, Deputy District Election Officer Madhav Patil gave guidance to the voters about how to fill Form-6 for voter registration and what necessary documents should be submitted along with it.

Commissioner Social Welfare, Suburban, Prashant Sawant, Tehsildar, Election Department, Mumbai City, Mrs. Gulab More, Deputy Tehsildar were present.
